琳娜·海蒂的生日是1976年10月03日，出生于約克郡。 她身高166cm。

Lena原來計劃做一名理髮師，但少年時，她涉足了戲劇。在國家劇院的一次演出時，一位星探發現她，她很快參与了電影Waterland(1992)，此片擔任主角的是Jeremy Irons。她扮演瑪麗，一個promiscuous的十幾歲少年,據說成功的表演導致了她的另一promiscuous女僕的角色。那是Merchant Ivory出品的電影The Remains of the Day (1993)。主角是hristopher Reeve 和 Anthony Hopkins。
　　她在美國的首次亮相，是在倫敦拍攝的TV電影，MacGyver的Trail to Doomsday (1994)，隨之在迪斯尼的電影The Jungle Book（1994）中出演Kitty。在Loved Up (1995) 中，Headey扮演a raver stoned on Ecstasy，在英電視連續短劇Band of Gold (1995)中演一位lesbian prostitute。參与的其他影視包括Mrs. Dalloway (1997)，合作的演員有Vanessa Redgrave。The Man with Rain in His Shoes (1998)有Penelope Cruz 。
