「The Evidence」是一部由角色推進的系列劇，講述兩名巡視官Sean Cole和Cayman Bishop的故事，這對好友長期搭檔，在舊金山警察局工作。

人會說謊，但是證據不會，有了證據，正義才能得到伸張，沒有證據，罪人可以橫行天下。沒有誰能夠比探警Sean Cole更加認識到證據的重要性。他的妻子被殘忍的謀殺后，警察所擁有的唯一的證據意外被破壞了，他幾乎崩潰了。幸運的是，他的搭檔也是他的最好的朋友Bishop，仍然在那裡支持著他，鼓勵他回到工作崗位，繼續工作，一起解決這庄錯綜複雜的謀殺案。
