克里斯托弗·李的生日是1922年05月27日，出生于英國英格蘭。
在銀幕上活躍了半個多世紀的英國老演員克里斯托弗·李於1922年出生在倫敦，父母都是職業軍人。在離婚後不久，李的母親嫁給了一位銀行家，14到17歲之間，李進入惠靈頓大學就讀，畢業后成了航運公司的職員。1941年，他應徵入伍，加入英國皇家空軍參加二戰。40年代末期，退伍后的李投身表演，1米96的高大身材和邪惡的面貌特質讓他很快成為惡魔的化身，隨後的20年間，他出演了大量恐怖電影，代表作包括《科學怪人的詛咒》、《恐怖吸血鬼》和《永眠的詛咒》等。70年代中期，厭倦了以往戲路的他開始嘗試出演主流電影，陸續出演了《福爾摩斯秘史》、《豪情三劍客》和《鐵金剛大破金槍客》等。
隨著這些影片的成功，李開始引起好萊塢的關注，轉戰好萊塢的他出現在大量經典影片之中，其在《星球大戰》系列影片和《魔戒三部曲》中的出色表演給觀眾留下了深刻印象。
