Buster plays a street photographer who falls for a woman that works in the newsreel department of a movie studio. So he trades in his still camera for a movie camera in the hope of impressing Sally. But when one misadventure follows another, he gets fired. Finally he gets that killer footage and gets the girl. The Cameraman is generally considered the last of Keaton';s truly great films. The overbearing studio, his failing marriage, and alcoholism, all combine to bring him down. There is also a second audio track of Commentary.
